Keyboard shortcut workaround

Asked by l33ting disorder

I'd like to be able to toggle whether the AWN dock is visible with a simple keyboard shortcut like WIN+Z or something.

I understand AWN does not yet support shortcuts (on that note, allow me to suggest that right now for the next revision) but can anyone suggest a workaround for me to get this working in the meantime?

I'm just guessing at this point, but compiz-fusion may have something like that.

Thanks, but it does not as far as I can tell.

As I understand it, utilities like Compiz-Fusion's CCSM has window matching/key bindings that let you do advanced actions like hide windows.

Perhaps you could try to figure out how to integrate global hotkeys into something like Devil's Pie: http://live.gnome.org/DevilsPie

Can you help with this problem?
