How do I get windows to minimize to the right side of the dock rather then to the icons? (Ubuntu 8.04)

Are there any other docks for Ubuntu that can do that? Or maybe an amplet created by a third party?

There's no applet for Awn that does that. No idea about other docks. I'd ask in the Ubuntu Forums.

There is some compiz plugin that shows window thumbnails when you hover over the task icons. I can't remember its name, though.
