Unable to add launcher in preferences dialog

When I click on "add" in "launchers" in preferences, I have this error in console :

I use kubuntu 7.10.

This is more of an installation problem rather than a bug.

The most recent released version of Awn requires that gnome-panel is installed for its launcher editor application. However, there is a version in development that does not require gnome-panel, as a custom launcher editor has been written for Awn. Here is the link to the (k)ubuntu repository:
