disable AWN on certain desktop

i need to stop AWN from appearing on a certain desktop (i use VMware on this) and AWN keeps on poping up over the top! very annoying!
is this possible?

This sort of feature is not currently possible with Awn. You may try looking at your window manager's settings to see if you can somehow do this via the window manager, though.

Perhaps you should be using the "autohide" feature.
