Smooth Hiding of the Task Bar

Asked by Matt LaPaglia

I didn't see any place to put a request in, so here's one small one. When the bar is set to autohide, how about making is smoothly go off the screen, or some cool transitions like fading away.

Just an idea. I'd like to say thanks for the work you guys have put into this dock, it's one of the best for ubuntu right now!

Your's moves off screen? I'm running the latest PPA version, and my bar simply disappears when i open a maximized window.. Am I doing something wrong?

works just fine for me. Running r217 and checked "Auto hide bar when not in use" and "Maximized windows don't cover the bar".

I'm running 0.3.1~bzr217-gutsy1-1...

I've got the same program installed on several computers and none of them work in the manner you describe. How can I troubleshoot this?

oh. nevermind. I had "keep below maximized windows" selected.

Now the taskbar hides appropriately, but my maximized windows don't go into the area awn takes up.. i'm guessing this is something I need to look at in compiz?

thanks for the help
