Awn

lines appear instead of applets

When I add a notification area, gmail notify or volume control, i get lines on the dock instead of the applet. I'm running Gutsy and I installed from the http://download.tuxfamily.org/syzygy42 repository. As far as I can tell, everything else works great.

I think I fixed the problem. I ran AWN in a terminal window. I needed to add modules ( alsaaudio-python module and the python-gconf ) for the volume control. And I had a gnome panel running a notification area. I had to remove it from the gnome panel before it would appear on the AWN dock.
