How do I move applets around on the dock?

I'm confused about how I can move applets around on my Awn dock.

Or is it possible to move the applets off the dock, say maybe to the desktop?

You can move applets around in the Applets tab of Dock Preferences. Right click anywhere on the Awn dock and then choose "Dock Preferences". On the Applets tab you see a group called "Active Applets" containing some icons. You can drag those icons to move applets.

Yea I can do that but I can't move launcher icon between two applets. Like have an applet, then launcher icon, then another applet.

Use a Simple Launcher applet for this.
