Deb Apt-Get Goodness

Asked by brokencrystal.com

Any chance of getting a Ubuntu Gutsy deb file and a dedicated apt repository (for awn/affinity/your other projects here) and eventually get it into the Ubuntu repositories by next LTS release of Ubuntu? I need my apt-get goodness and this would make upgrading AWN and its plugins, addons, and themes so much easier via Ubuntu's update manager or apt-get update && apt-get upgrade. I need to stay current without checking back every week to see what's going on, downloading, and recompiling. If anything, just create packages for 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, ...1.0 versions of AWN, unless they are major bug fixes.

So, what do you think? This feature request would just make my life so much easier. You could do it for Debian also.

sudo apt-get install awn awn-plugins awn-themes awn-extras affinity affinity-themes

Thanks,
BrokenCrystal

I believe that getting AWN in to Gutsy +1 will happen. People just didn't want to hurry the stable 0.2 release.

If you don't mind adding a third party repo, you can already use apt-get. See this thread:
