Could the battery plugin be ported to udev (instead of hal)?

HAL is deprecated. It should be replaced by udev directly.

UPower backend has already been implemented since rev. 1387 in trunk. Use testing PPA instead of awn-extras 0.4.0. See https://bugs.launchpad.net/awn-extras/+bug/325925/comments/10
