Since Node is related to the mac adress of the connection

Asked by Andrei

I thought that gw id was a chosen arbitrary number.

Now, i always used a static local ip/address for my authpuppy server. So my node gw id will be define by the mac address of my network card. It can't be anything else anyway.

So, how can i have multiple nodes for the same server if i have one network card. I mean, my server is cable link connected to my router, so having a new node mean having a second network card who will have a new mac adress to define a new node. But It can be very confusing while this second card will have a second static ip adress.

In the same way of thinking, it will probably the same using wifi network cards.

I would really appreciated a response for this question ...

(otherwise i will pay for it, i don't have narrow limitations for that, just have to email me)

Thankfully thanks

André
