Why don't we use Launchpad Rosetta to translate AuthPuppy?

Asked by Andrea Grandi

Hello,

one suggestion to AuthPuppy developers team: why don't we use Rosetta, integrated in Launchpad, to translate AuthPuppy? I think it could be easier for people to collaborate with translation if we use this tool. I think we could have more languages available if we would use this.

Please let me know what you think about.

Regards.

The problem is that the Symfony 1.1 framework relys on the XLIFF standard in its default setup, although some other standards are available, Rosetta isn't one of them. More information can be found here: http://www.symfony-project.org/book/1_0/13-I18n-and-L10n. There is an addin for Symfony 2 [http://symfohub.com/repo/RosettaBundle/documentation] so if we updated to this framework then we would possibly look into supporting this.

more information can be found in the blueprint https://blueprints.launchpad.net/authpuppy/+spec/translation-necessary
