Hehe,

It is a feature that was also in the old wifidog auth server. When you put a new device on the network and it does not exist in AuthPuppy, the first time you try to login through this device, you'll be offered to create a new node or "steal" one. Stealing is for example when you replace an old router with a new one, you can keep the stats and everything from the old node.

If this option is unchecked, for a new router to work, the node will have to manually be created with the right gateway_id on the server.

OK, that makes sense...

but breaking it down:

* is apNodeExrra the best plugin for this to be available in, since it mostly deals with geolocation?
* should those functions be seperated?
* from a customers point of view seeing Node Extra => Hotspot Map looks horible! to them what the hell does "Node Extra" stand for...
* Node in non "western" languages is umm shall we say, hard to translate in meaningful words...

Indeed, apNodeExtra is just a bunch of extra node functionnalities that have no links together. Geolocation could be a plugin all by itself. And the create or steal could go with another plugin with other extra node functionnalities, such as different lists of nodes, etc.

As for the term "node", I just had a discussion with mesh people for whom our node is a device and their node is a group of node that form a grap of the mesh... So I guess we should rethink those terms...
