Can I record audio in other formats ?

Just wondering if I can opt to record in formats like opus, mp3, flak ?

or should I raise a bug ?

Hi there,
Yes you can. Just expand the "Audio settings" form and set the audio format of your choice.

Also you can define new audio pipelines (with various audio formats) in the [Additional settings] dialog.
Goto [Additional settings] -> "Recording commands". There you can add new recording commands with Gstreamer elements.

Click the [Show Cmd] button to see the recording pipeline. You can run it in a terminal-window, make modifications, tests, etc.

Also, learn to use $ gst-inspect-1.0 to learn more about the elements.
$ sudo apt install gstreamer1.0-tools
$ gst-inspect-1.0 -a

Re-hi,
Please send me a note if you find a good Gstreamer-pipeline that can be added to the recorder (opus format?).
