Audio Recorder

Problem: Doesn't record the output from specific programs.

Hi,

I'm new to linux and have installed audio recorder on kubuntu 14.04. I was very excited about this program and what I could potentially do with it, but unfornunately I doesn't work on my machine. I was hoping to be able to use this program to record music from my streaming programs (like spotify, clementine etc) However the program only records all input to the microphone, so when recording one specific track , it also records any background noise along with the output from the program of interest. Is there any way for it to record only the output from the media player I choose without the microphone input?

Any help I can get would be great!
