I've just installed on Ubuntu Lucid 10.04 the deb for maverick (https://launchpad.net/~osmoma/+archive/audio-recorder/+files/audio-recorder_0.4.4%7Emaverick_i386.deb) and it works great.

After installation, just launch it from application > audio and video > audio recorder
and record the source you prefer.

I've tried to record a skype call and it works easily, two clicks and my call was recorded. All voices of all participants was recorded, including my voice :)
