ASUS Keyboard Backlight

Update for 11.04?

I'm using an ASUS G51J, and just upgraded from 10.10 to 11.04. The keyboard flickers when adjusting the brightness and the notification isn't showing the correct light levels. I assume this is a compatibility issue with 11.04, so I was just wondering if you were planning to release an update.

Hello,

The keyboard backlight should works without any additional script with ubuntu 11.04.

Try to purge the package asus-kbd-backlight

    sudo apt-get remove --purge asus-kbd-backlight

and then restart acpid (or reboot)

    sudo service acpid restart
