Help!!! Is there any way for me to recover lost data?

Hi,

I recently upgraded my ROM with the ROM Upgrade with HTC Sense for HTC Magic available on the HTC website.

Before I upgraded it, I used "MyBackup" found on the android market to backup my data. I couldn't see the option to back up astrid data so I backed up the application thinking that I would be able to access the data once I've restored it. Just as a precaution, I also copied all contents from the SD card to my PC.

After I upgraded it, I restored the application but I found that astrid was emtpy. In panic, I looked around in the backup of the SD card but I couldn't find any files that seemed to be related to astrid.

I have some information on it that is very dear and important to me (which I should've copied down somewhere) and something that would be lost forever if I can't recover it.

Can you please help me? Is there any way at all to recover any of the data?

Wow... I don't have any idea on how to recover your information if you didn't have it backed up with Remember the milk. Really sorry you had to experience this. We are currently working on a native backup solution to prevent further data loss. Until then you can follow the backup procedure that other users have used to back up data. We are grateful that they used Astrid as an example. (see link below).

Well, that is a major bummer...I guess I'll just have to write it off as a lesson learned.
