Astrid Widget - if, and when?

Hello!
I'm planning to get an Android phone, but it's crucial to me to have a working TODO-app.
I understand Astrid is the app of choice here - my question is:
Is there a way of showing the todo-items at a glance as soon as I pull up my phone?
It appears to me that what I'm looking for is an Astrid-widget...
Will one be made available? When?

One of the developers is working on this. Conservatively I think it should be out in a month. But hopefully sooner! Many of us are looking forward to this.
