false notifications

Asked by Jerry

Stock Droid 2.0.1 with latest Astrid that I sync with the free version of RTM. All repeating tasks and most single instance tasks were created on RTM. I generally use Astrid to view and check off tasks.

This morning when I looked at my Droid I had three notifications for different repeating tasks. Yet when I went I went to Astrid it correctly showed that I have no tasks due today. I was able to clear the notifications and they haven't returned.

It happened while I was watching. My Droid vibrated (even though I believe I have everything set for no notifications) and popped a notification. When I looked at the specific task in Astrid it shows that's it not due for 2 days.

I think I found the problem. I had another notification this morning. When I went to the task I saw that it was set to poke every 5 days. Looking at the others I found that some but not all had a poke value. Weird since I had never set a poke value for any of these. I went through the list and made sure all are set to off. So I'll see what happens.

Hello Jerry

You might want to check your "Default Reminders" under Settings (Menu > More ... > Settings). If you have you default reminders enabled to certain settings it can cause you to be poked for tasks.

Hope that helps! Let me know if it doesn't.
