I GOT THIS PC FRO MY NABOR AND HE MOVED AND I DONT HAVE A AUTHENTICATION KEY TO UPDATE OR DOWN LOAD PLEASE HELP

Posting in capital letters is like shouting , SO PLEASE DON'T.

Do you have username and password for logging in?

If yes, then use this password when you are asked to confirm an administrative action.

If you do not know the password but can log in, open a terminal window and issue the command "whoami" to get to know your username. Use the instructions in http://www.psychocats.net/ubuntu/resetpassword to set a new password, and use that new password whenever instructed to do so.
