APT

apt does not give completion message

Asked by Dennis German

For a program as chatty as apt which (verbosely) by default details all it's progress...

After
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
is no longer running a shell prompt is presented.
There is no message that indicates that it has actually completed.

Could a message like:
apt says:"that's all folks"
or
apt says"I did what you asked, g'day"
or something be added.

Thanks for all the fish.
