That dos not solved the problem. Not GUI in the Menu, when i installed aptil-gtk package. I work with Linux Mint 18.3 Cinnamon Desktop.

This version of aptik run without problems with GUI: aptik_17.10-0_201711011237_ubuntu18.04.1_amd64.deb

When I installed the newest version of aptik following package will be removed:

aria2 libc-ares2

aria2 is not required anymore so it will be removed. You can install it later if you need it.

Dear Mr George,

First of all, I would like to thank you for your work and all the great tools.

I just installed Aptik 18.5.1 on Ubuntu 18.04 MATE + the gtk-package but I am not getting the nice GUI that we are used to from earlier versions ( actually in Linux Mint 18.3 Xfce). In stead, I get a browser-like GUI which is quite different from the former more intuitive and easy-to-use GUI.

I just wondered, if this is a deliberate change in the design or should I install additional packages to get back the GUI from before?
Grateful for your response.

best regards

Marte

This is the new design for GUI. You can install the older version if you need the old GUI.
