Can Aptik work on 8.04 ubuntu server?

I inherited a great application installed on the platform of Ubuntu 8.04 server. Unfortunately , the company that had been maintaining this system had closed down. All I want is to upgrade through fresh installation of Ubuntu 14.04 server without losing this application .I had tried REDO and Clonezilla without much result. Could Aptik function in 8.04 Ubuntu server environment?
