Bullet points still show when "if text" not included

I have a bulleted list in which I want some entries to be conditional based on criteria. When these paragraphs are excluded using "do text if <COND>" (in other words COND is false), the text is removed but the bullet still remains.
Any idea how I can exclude an entire bullet list entry (including the bullet) ?

Problem solved. Looks like there was an error with the Python statements which I was not seeing because of direct PDF output rendering. I saw them once I rendered it as an ODT. This was causing the bullets to still output.
