Unable to use New Wave Configurator to fix OO menu issue

Asked by Geoff Butler

Hi

I'm trying to follow the steps laid out in the Readme supplied in the zip file for the theme (I downloaded version 0.8.1 from gnome-look.org) to resolve the menu colour issue in OpenOffice - however, I get an error every time I try to edit the theme in the configurator:

Theme not compatible with Configurator. Required Theme: 0.8*

I was expecting a theme editor to pop up so I can edit the colours for the menus in OpenOffice.

Can you assist here? I can use OpenOffice ok but it would be nice to have the wording on the menu bar in a lighter colour!

Thanks, Geoff

If the configurator is saying that the theme is not compatiable then it is not. Are you sure you are picking the right one in your home folder?

If you have some more patience I will advice you to wait until I release the next version of the configurator 0.2 after a week or so and see if it is any better.

Hello,
May I ask, where to find the New Wave Configurator? The theme is included in Ubuntu Karmic, found the folder, I think version is 0.8.1, but I am unable to find the NWC.
Thank you in advance!

You could find it in the package here:
http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php/New+Wave?content=87134

or the New Wave Pack download button.

Can you help with this problem?
