Ports

Asked by mou

I know I already asked this question but that is a very big problem...
The port which is used for anonplus is bloqued by : Routers, ISP, Firewall so its very hard to get anonplus working with those ports
When will you change those ports?
, choose something which are usualy used by udp protocol like 12345

Changing the port number is not a priority at this time. Instead, we are focusing on creating functional software. When the Tor tunnel is released, it should fix the problems you are experiencing.

It is possible with routers and occasionally iptables (if you know what you are doing) to forward traffic from another port to the port that is being blocked among other things. While this does not solve the issue of non-changeable ports, it can provide a temporary solution until the functionality is added to AnonPlus.

@Thomas Ward

The issue seems to be a result of ISP censorship of port 1337. The vomun-security team already has bug #912561 for the issue. Which I will make public now, it will be fixed soon enough (and there is little need for it to be private).

I know changing ports is not a prioprity and you always say It should be fixxed but changing ports don't take much time and it will be very good for people who want to try anonplus without, setting up the router check firewall.....
