Amarok

Amarok no longer performs an Amazon search when requested for missing album artwork.

I have made no changes to Amarok settings and have downloaded cover art many times via the Amazon option. Recently Amarok seems to do an automatic search and then if nothing matches it simply quits the process instead of bringing up the next best thing like it used to or letting me do a custom search of my own. How do I fix this so that I can go back to doing custom searches again?

This is a problem known to the Amarok team.
Amazon recently made changes to their protocol and the old one no longer works.
We will be releasing a fixed version (Amarok 1.4.9) soon.

This problem persists in Amarok 2. I've done a few searches online and only see mentions to a patch for the 1.x series. Any ideas on when, if ever, fetching covers will work in the new version of Amarok?
