I had considered this idea some time ago, but it won't work for a variety of reasons.

In order to do this, some sort of interface between AllTray and the window manager must exist, and that interface would be different for every different window manager (because there is no specification or standard for plugins for window managers). This would require more time than I have to work on AllTray.

That said, CTT support in the latest development versions (which are slated to go "stable" sometime in the next month or two when I have the time to actually do the release work) works well, and relatively close.
