Unable to run alltray properly in Ubuntu 11.04

Asked by Rictor Low

Alltray is unable to run properly in Ubuntu 11.04. I could not find the application that is minimize by alltray. It seems that the application is closed by alltray instead of minimize. Kindly advice on what could be the problem. Thank You.

Update: There is a way to get AllTray to work properly with Unity. Open a terminal, run the following command, and then logout and back in again; AllTray should then work.

$ gsettings set com.canonical.Unity.Panel systray-whitelist "['all']"

This will make it possible for you to continue to use AllTray under Unity without having to switch to the Ubuntu Classic mode if you do not want to.
