Alarm Clock Applet

no sounds

Does this app come with sounds? I simply want an alarm clock/timer that I can use on my laptop. I've installed 'Alarm Clock' but it makes no sound and has no sounds to chose from. How can it be full-featured if it doesn't come with sounds...even alarm clocks on phones come with sounds.
Please school me!

Hi, the app relies on the alert sounds that come with GNOME. They should be in /usr/share/sounds/gnome/default/alerts, they should come bundled with gnome-control-center. If you don't have them, you can always use any sound from /usr/share/sounds.
