How to build the release tarball

Should I have automatically known how to build the package? In the end, because the README didn't even point me at the FM so I could RTFM. For now, I'm just trying every executable file and hoping

I found the INSTALL file. I'm currently have a fatal error: glib.h: No such file problem

Missing .h files usually indicates missing development packages. Check packages.ubuntu.com for the corresponding package, i.e. http://packages.ubuntu.com/search?searchon=contents&keywords=glib.h&mode=exactfilename&suite=oneiric&arch=any

This will yield libglib2.0-dev

You need to install this package.
