How do I setup my UMAX Astra 2500 scanner in kubuntu

I got UMAX Astra 2500 scanner How do i setup in kubuntu
I have also wecam

I ran lsusb on terminal

Bus 001 Device 007: ID 0461:0374 Primax Electronics, Ltd UMAX Astra 2500
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub

I have tried

kamal@kamal-desktop:~$ sudo chmod 660 /proc/bus/usb/004/003

kamal@kamal-desktop:~$ sudo chmod 660 /proc/bus/usb/001/007

Can someone please help me

Umax are notorious for being almost impossible to setup due to no help from the manufacturer regarding information to do the sane backends. The easiest thing to do with a Umax scanner is throw it in a bin and get look for one that is supported.

With regard webcam. Please look at Ubuntu webcam documentation and look at the application 'cheese'. If you have any camera questions. Please submit a new question.
