can't istall on Ubuntu 24.04

Asked by Bernard

After upgrading Ubuntu from 23.10 to 24.04 ksmbd stops working so I tried to uninstall and install ksmbd-tools package.
Unfortunately I receive an error and can't install:

el@akacja:~$ sudo apt-get install ksmbd-tools

If you try the command
sudo apt-get install ksmbd-tools
again, do you get an identical error message?

Do you have some virus scanner or other tool running that might interfere with writing into that directory?

Thanks.
Yes. Unfortunately the same error message...

I can't think of anything that would block the installation of ksmbd-tools.

When I try installing ksmbd-tools on my Ubuntu 24.04 test system, I receive the same failure message.

I suggest that you create a bug report.
