Allow one-drive backups by upgrading version in LTS

Asked by Rhahkeem Alexander

According to the [upstream repo](https://gitlab.gnome.org/World/deja-dup/-/tags), there are multiple updated versions already, one of which allows you to use your Personal OneDrive as a backup location. Specifically [43.x](https://gitlab.gnome.org/World/deja-dup/-/issues/158#note_1274882). Can we get this version added to the current LTS version?

Manfred Hampl suggests this article as an answer to your question:
FAQ #3037: “no rolling release”.

For stability reasons especially in LTS releases updates are done only when there is a very good reason. I doubt that a request for an update for deja-dup will be done. You are invited to create a bug report (see the paragraph about SRU in the FAQ).
A better solution would probably be that someone creates a PPA with the desired version.

As far as I can see form the gitlab page that you linked, there is a flatpak version.
That should also work on Ubuntu.
