Tinny audio on ThinkPad L380 (22.04)

Asked by Jeroen

Hey guys, I'm new here. I have a question about drivers. The audio quality is really bad and tinny.

Using 22.04 jammy kernel x86_64 Linux 6.5.0-1020-oem

The audio sounds really tinny. In a stackexchange post i read that it should be fixed for kernel 6.1.something but I'm still having bad quality

I thought I was maybe missing a driver so I went to the lenovo site to find there are no audio drivers available for linux.

Anyone know a possible fix?

I suggest that you perform the diagnostic steps

wget -O alsa-info.sh http://www.alsa-project.org/alsa-info.sh && chmod +x ./alsa-info.sh && ./alsa-info.sh

and either upload the result file to the alsa servers and paste the link here, or copy/paste the whole diagnostic text into this question document.
