Details, please:

Is this a desktop or laptop system?
Which make and model?
What exactly happens when you try booting?
If you hit the left shift key early during boot, do you get the grub menu?

Hi
laptop
ThinkPad E16 Gen 1
when booting it will start and then give the above message.
unfortunately, I can no longer get the grub menu as I tried the idea in the link sent of resetting the bois.
I need to fix the grub menu before I can go any further.

I may have to reinstall
