Shutdown produces screen dumps with new kernel

Asked by Alan Knepper

Running Linux Mint 21.3 Cinnamon.
Is this the right place to post?

Linux 5.15.0-100-generic when shutdown causes scrolling errors on the screen.
Rebooting into Linux 5.15.0-97-generic the system has no issues.

Screenshot of some of the dump.

I cannot read between the lines to see what is wrong. I do have copies of
           journalctl -b-1 | grep systemd
if this would help, one good shutdown and one bad.
